The courses on this page are designed to cover a variety of interests and needs linked to the care and welfare of the domestic dog. Here you will find canine biology and nutrition, training background for puppies and for adult dogs according to sensitive and reward-based methods.

Canine olfactory system
UKRS Rural Skills

Canine anatomy and physiology is a biology-based course set at the equivalent to Level 3 study. Also included is canine nutrition, behaviour and welfare. Quite an intensive course, it is aimed at professional development, self-study, welfare and care workers.

Course fee: £245.00

Dogs exercising

Dog Behaviour Training is set at the equivalent to level 3 study. Designed as a background and support to dog training, it introduces how training must be linked to canine behaviour and welfare. Behavioural theories are included, canine emotions and enrichment.

Chilli Dog

Canine nutrition is set at the equivalent to Level 3 study. The antaomy and physiology of the digestive system is covered followed by studying and identifying the nutrients within canine foods. Raw diets are mentioned. CAnine nutrition is aimed at CPD, self-study, welfare and care workers.

Training a Puppy

Puppy Training is set at the equivalent to study level 3. This is a short course of just two units that regard puppy training as a responsibility of the trainer. This continues into unit 2 where the trainer must be prepared to justify their training techniques.
